Brittenford Systems Launches “Running QuickBooks in Nonprofits” Webinar Series

Nonprofit users of QuickBooks will learn to track donors, grants, programs and funds; allocate expenses, and get reports.

Brittenford Systems, a  professional services firm with deep experience in nonprofit accounting software implementations and support, has announced the launch of the only comprehensive webinar-based course for nonprofits using QuickBooks.

The webinar series, scheduled to launch October 7th, will include six weekly 1-hour classes designed to teach nonprofit users of QuickBooks how to adapt the software to meet the needs of nonprofit accounting.

The class will be based on the best-selling books, “Running QuickBooks in Nonprofits,” by author Kathy Ivens.  Ivens, widely considered the leading authority on the subject of using QuickBooks in nonprofits, will co-teach the class along with Brittenford Systems CEO Michael Mahoney.  All registrants will receive a copy of the Ivens’ book, which will be used as the course curriculum.

“QuickBooks was not designed for nonprofit organizations,” said Mahoney.  “However, QuickBooks is inexpensive, easy to use, and familiar, so for many smaller nonprofits, it’s the only affordable alternative.  With the right workarounds, it can provide an affordable alternative for nonprofits with limited budgets.”
