When it comes to looking forward, Host Analytics gets top ratings, according to the latest Ventana Research Value Index for Business Planning. This report, available for purchase from Ventana Research, lists Host Analytics as a “Hot” vendor, the highest possible rating available.
What is Ventana Research Business Planning Value Index?
Judging vendors on hundreds of elements within seven key categories (Usability, Manageability, Reliability, Capability, Adaptability, Vendor Validation and Total Cost of Ownership and Return on Investment (TCO/ROI)), the Value Index is “an analytic representation of how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements […] not an abstraction; a carefully crafted best practices-based methodology that reflects how organizations actually assess vendors.”
To ease the comparison, Ventana assigns both a number (0-100) and a grouping: Frigid (minimally valuable), Cold, Warm, and Hot (very valuable).
Assessing planning vendors—IBM, SAP, Anaplan, Host Analytics, Adaptive Insights, Infor, Longview Solutions, Tagetik, Tidemark, Oracle, and Prophix—Ventana found that Host Analytics received a 90.0%, good for fourth among vendors, bested by only eight-tenths of a percent.
Host Analytics announced their recognition as a “hot vendor” in a recent press release, with Bryan Katis, SVP of Product Management at Host Analytics, quoted below.
“We continue to lead the charge in cloud-based planning applications, most recently adding advanced modeling capabilities,” said Katis. “EPM was always meant to be an enterprise-wide initiative, and robust planning with integrated modeling finally makes it possible for organizations to integrate business and financial planning, and connect disparate operational plans back to the master financial plan.”
