Intacct has long been known for its ability to innovate, create important new products that push the field of accounting forward, and drive new business. But in addition to this, they have recently come upon a spate of awards highlighting their ability to do all of this. One of these awards is the American Business Awards (“Stevies”), which recognize leading organizations operating in the United States.
Intacct recently announced that they won a Stevie for their Contract and Revenue Management functionality, designed to address the challenges businesses are facing as they transition to ASC 606/IFRS 15.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program, and all organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations. More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s winners, while more than 3,600 nominations from virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.
Intacct Contract and Revenue Management encompasses applications for contract and subscriptions billing, as well as contract revenue management. Part of Intacct’s cloud ERP system, these applications form the industry’s first automated solution to help mid-sized companies navigate the complexities created by the upcoming ASC 606 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition guidelines—the most sweeping accounting changes in over a decade. The applications feature a contract-centric architecture that also streamlines the complexities of subscription billing to help companies grow revenue.
“Innovation is a key component of Intacct’s DNA. Our focus on finance allows Intacct to move faster than our competitors and enabled us to deliver a more comprehensive solution to manage the impending changes to the revenue recognition guidelines,” said Dan Miller, VP of Product Management for Intacct. “ASC 606 ushers in the most sweeping accounting changes in over a decade. Companies need a way to easily and seamlessly manage their transition to the new accounting standards without using complex work-arounds, bolt-on solutions, scripting that may break over time, or hiring a significant amount of additional accountants.”
“Each year the judges find the quality and variety of the nominations to be greater than the year before. The 2017 competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
