Get Ready To Stop Hunger Now on September 22, 2012!
What is Stop Hunger Now?
Stop Hunger Now is a meal packaging program that supports school feeding programs and crisis relief. Over 100,000 volunteers have donated and packaged meals through Stop Hunger Now’s meal packaging program. It is a fun, hands-on mission project that is suitable for all ages.
The meal packaging event involves an assembly process which combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and flavoring mix, including 21 essential vitamins and minerals, into small meal packages. All meal packages from Stop Hunger Now are shipped around the world to support crisis relief and school feeding programs. Not only does the food store easily, but transports quickly and has a 5-year shelf life.
How will Brittenford Systems help support Stop Hunger Now?
Brittenford supports Stop Hunger Now’s Meal Packaging Event each year. This year, they have set a goal to package 20,000 meals! People from around the D.C. area sign up with Brittenford Systems and volunteer their time to support the great cause.
