One Response to Dynamics GP – How to Use the Letter Writing Assistant to Create Automated Mailings

    Hello,

First, thank you for the video. It was very well laid out and very helpful. I’m getting a little more advanced than this tutorial went into, and am hoping I can get some assistance. While creating a new Letter to use, I want to pull in certain information on an employee. The templates have a good selection of fields, but what if we want to use a field that is not already available?

For example, on the Employee Maintenance screen, under the Additional Information button, we have the Employee’s FTE located on this screen. It is stored as USERDEF2 in the database. How can we get that field mapped to our newly created letter?

Please let me know if I need to clarify anything. Hoping this is possible! Thanks again for the video!
    Justin
